International access to the Whitsundays is via Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne or Cairns.
You can fly into Proserpine Airport and transfer the 35km with Whitsunday Transit buses ($16 p/p) or a taxi or limousine ($90 up to 4 people) to the B&B in Airlie Beach. Virgin Blue and Jetstar offer direct flights from Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne.
Alternatively, you can fly into Hamilton Island Airport and transfer to Shute Harbour on the mainland with the regular water taxi service ($60 o/w standby). Buses meet each ferry for the 10 minute drive to Airlie Beach or a taxi or limousine costs approx $20.
Mackay Airport 150km south of the Whitsundays, is serviced by Qantas and Virgin Blue. One way car hire with Hertz is available at the airport for a reasonable cost.
By Bus or Coach
Greyhound/Pioneer, McCafferty's and Premier bus companies set down at Airlie Beach daily.
By Rail
Trains set down daily in Proserpine, with each service being met by a connecting coach which will bring you to the B&B.
